It’s one of the things I really enjoy doing – it’s a habit that I’ve inherited from a long line of ‘those who like to connect’. I’ve found that even just the briefest connection has a positive impact on my day and my sense of wellbeing.
Travelling on the underground with my dog always ups the level of interaction, especially in infamous chat-free London. Somehow an animal offers us permission to talk.
